Winter holiday is coming, many students arelooking forward to a wonderful long vacation so thatthey are busy making a vacation plan. According to asurvey, students who go traveling and do socialpractices during vacations increase greatly whilethose who stay at home decrease a lot.
There are many reasons account for that. Firstly, with the fast development of economy, many peoplehave become rich, which makes it possible for morestudents to go traveling. Also, modemtransportation has made it easier for students to go out to travel. Secondly, the authorities ofChinese university have been encouraging their students to do social practices in the hope thatcollege students would broaden their view to know more about the society and become moreadaptable to the future work after they graduate.
In my opinion, it's good to let more students go out traveling or doing social practicesduring the vacations for they have become much mature to realize how to spend our vacationsmeaningfully and practically.

Stated-owned business or Joint venture
Upon graduation, virtually all college studentswill confront the problem of the career choice，which is truly a tough choice. Students'opinions differ greatly on this issue. Some hold that there is no better way to get a decent jobthan working in a stated-owned business which will guarantee my life after retirement, butothers take the attitude that a joint venture outweighs any other jobs as it may provide higherincome for employees.
As to myself, I prefer the latter view. A joint venture, especially a high-salary jointventure, exerts a tremendous fascination on a great number of people, with no exception tome. Although it might be impossible to make sure my retirement pension is good enough, high-salary is exactly what I need just now. In my view, our career choices largely depend onwhere we want to stay for the rest of life. For me, metropolis is the place where I can grasploads of opportunities and achieve my personal dreams. As I hold the view that live in themoment, not the future, and also in order to finance myself in some aspects such as thetransportation, the house-renting, or social activities, a joint venture can satisfy my needsfor the consumption I mentioned above.
In short, a joint venture is the first and only consideration in my choice of career.
