Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write an essay commenting on the saying “Listening is more important than talking.” You can cite examples to illustrate the importance of listening. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.
It is quite important to be a good listener.Effective listening is more than simply avoiding the bad habit of interrupting others while they are speaking.It’s being content to listen to the entire thought of someone rather than waiting impatiently for your chance to respond.
Slowing down your responses and becoming a better listener aids you in becoming a more amiable person.As you wait for the person you are communicating with to finish,as you simply listen more intently to what is being said,you will feel more relaxed,and so will the people you are talking to.Not only will being a better listener make you a more patient person,but it will also improve your relationship with others because everyone loves to talk to someone who truly listens to what they are saying.
It is quite easy for you to be a better listener.As long as you for get yourself and imagine yourself in the speaker’s experience to understand the emotion behind the words,and then give your appropriate responses slowly,you will be an endeared listener.

I Love Big Cities
I grew up in a small town and now study in a big city, so I have experi-enced the good and bad sides of both. I never thought that I would like to livein a big city, but I was wrong. After two years of living in one, I can't imagineever living in a small town again.
I love the excitement of big cities. Small towns have a slower pace. Inlarge cities you have to adapt to a variety of situations, like finding a new routeto work or trying a new restaurant. I enjoy that challenge very much. Anotherpart of the excitement of city life is the variety of cultural activities available.
There are various kinds of theatres, musicals and dance performances availablein big cities. These things are rare in small ones.
Of course, security is a concern, and that's one area where small towns aresuperior to big cities. Still, I would rather be a bit more cautious and live in alarge city than feel secure but bored in a small town.
